The chorizo queso. Enough said. Solid for high end Mexican food. Somehow there's not enough upscale Mexican places out there. This is one of them to hit.

I wish I knew what made their carnitas so special -- I'm convinced they're made by some sort of god. I have never had them this good. Exceptional food and attentive service. I have been to the 3rd street location as well and it is just as good. I dream about your food!

I've been a big fan of this Mexican restaurant for quite some time now! It was a Tuesday and I happened to be in the neighborhood, so I decided to swing by for an early dinner. Little did I know, they had a special Taco Tuesday promotion going on! The Taco Tuesday menu had some fantastic margarita options! However, since I have a shellfish allergy, my choices were a bit limited as they didn't offer their famous fillet or fish tacos, or any other veggie tacos, apart from the taco de papa. So, I went ahead and ordered the taco de papa, and it turned out to be just as delicious as I remembered! The restaurant was busy and the staff were overwhelmed but overall it was enjoyable.

What's good - Queso dip + guac - Chips (worth pointing out - not every place has good chips!) -salsa (spicy, fresh, thick) - carnitas!!! - grilled mahi (or halibut - I forgot but its so good, Ive had it twice this month...) -churros!!!! -flan -churro ice cream -jamaica margarita -service (everyone from hostess to servers to bussers) What's not good -noise level. So loud we stopped talking bc yelling became annoying. This was the case this last Sunday night. The week before it wasn't this loud Anyway - go. Enjoy.

We made a reservation while vacationing in the area. We were seated promptly and enjoyed the energetic yet calming environment right from the start. We ordered the carne asada, the steak of the day, two cocktails, and a side cilantro lime rice - all of which were delicious. The chips and dip trio were also fantastic. The best thing of all from our experience was the service. Our waitress was fantastic, and the entire staff was super accommodating and friendly with our infant. Nearly every employee stopped while passing our table to give a smile or hello to our little one. This is a must have in Santa Monica if you're looking for great food and great hospitality.

Came here with my Best Friend to unwind, and oh man we were in for a treat as soon as we walked in the host, Arica, greeted us with such warm that I felt as if I knew her for a very long time. Secondly, I was greeted by the manager himself, Daniel, and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. I don't know about you, but not a lot of restaurants do that and such hospitality is hard to come by. To end the night, Gian, our server's tip top service was more than what we could ever ask for not only was he so attentive to us, but made it so accommodating that we felt like as if he was our friend that's hosting us for dinner. Thank you so much for this experience the food was absolutely amazing we couldn't have gone to a better restaurant tonight and I hope that anyone who reads this ask for all these three employees because they are truly remarkable. And if this is a corporate chain or a family owned business, please recognize these employees, because they are very hard to come by, and they treat people like as if it was their own business.

Just a lovely evening out in Santa Monica! I met my friend here for a happy hour and it didn't disappoint. We had some shrimp and lobster tacos too but they were so good they were devoured before I could snap a pic! Also had the margarita special... pineapple and mango? It was delicious and really packed a punch!

We ordered Spicy cucumber margaritas & heirloom tomato and avocado salad. These margaritas are very very good. Would highly recommend this salad as well with the crispy cilantro on top! Sooo good. Overall, this place is pretty pricey but the food is good. I got the appetizer fish tacos and there was 3 of them for $18. They were on street sized corn tortillas, so overall they were pretty small for $18.

Pretty good place, we made a reservation for Sunday night but place was pretty empty, not sure if reservation was needed. Service was very friendly and attentive. We weren't very hungry, so we got some guac order that was great, very chunky, if you are into that type of guac. We don't like the type of chips they served us guac with, but again it's based on the preference. Kale salad was pretty good, definitely a nice size. We had fish and shrimp tacos, both amazing! Very unique flavor, not very common. They also had a mocktail that was good, definitely enjoyed. Ambience is nice, modern, clean and pleasant, not very loud. Nice for a romantic dinner. Definitely recommend to come here and at least try their guac.
